The history of the Hollywood (FL) police department is sickening. Some of their atrocities are noted on Youtube:

Immediately below, you will see the attack and assault upon Baker, which occurred in less than 60 seconds after entering the holding area. The cops and the City of Hollywood manufactured a video and redacted these frames (among many others), before sending the video to the State Attorney's Office for prosecution.

A charging video totally fabricated by Hollywood

Before the start of this presentation, I would like to direct your attention to a link that fairly captures the general observations and opinions of the public today. Police misconduct is becoming more commonplace today. The City of Hollywood, Florida, has a police department that has been embroiled in corruption for a long, long time. From mob wanna-be's, to becoming drug couriers for drug kingpins. More corrupt than these types of unlawful activity is the falsification of evidence against citizens whom Hollywood seeks to prosecute. Let me give you the prologue at this web site:
http://michaelbluejay.com/police/
We have found that the State Attorney for Broward County, Florida, maintains a two-tiered system of charging individuals with crime. There are those who are not considered "the elite", meaning the average citizen, and then there is "the elite," who are comprised of police officers, attorneys, political figures, and the like. Mr. Satz will prosecute the former with all dispatch and vigor, regardless of the existence of sufficient evidence to prosecute. The latter, "the elite," are fairly well exempt from prosecution. Let me give you an example: In fact, let me allow the news broadcasts speak to the issues. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/broward/hollywood/sfl-torrensvilas-today-show-bn080309,0,4232418.story
Six City of Hollywood Police Officers were fired, not because they conspired to alter evidence and falsely convict; they were fired because they got caught. The falsified evidence was sent to the State Attorney, knowing that the evidence was altered and falsified. It was only through defense counsel's efforts and investigations that the evidence was found to have been altered and falsified. National outrage forced the Chief of Police to fire the corrupt police officers. Had there been no outrage and Torrens-Vilas convicted, the police would have falsely convicted Torrens-Vilas with impunity. Here is the video evidence of the police conspiring to falsify the evidence; the police called the falsification, "DOING A LITTLE WALT DISNEY ON THE EVIDENCE."
Because of the two-tiered system of charging as set out above, these corrupt police officers have not been charged, and there is a strong likelihood that they will not be charged unless there is public outrage over this policy of not prosecuting "the elite", which includes police officers.

The Donald Baker case is on all fours with the circumstances of the Torrens-Vilas police corruption case. However, the Baker case is much worse, because two police officers attempted to murder Baker and tortured and beat him so severely that Baker spent the following four days in intensive case in Hollywood Memorial Hospital. I suppose the police will give this a nomenclature as "DOING A LITTLE HITCHCOCK/PSYCHO ON THE EVIDENCE." As in the Torrens-Vilas case, a doctored, altered and falsified video was manufactured by the Hollywood Police Department and sent to the State Attorney to initiate the prosecution. The State Attorney accepted the doctored video, even though the assistant assigned to the case, Brad Edwards, would testify that he watched the video 55 times and could make nothing of it. Defense counsel, unlike Torrens-Vilas' attorney, sat on the falsified video for six months and did absolutely noting about it, except to warn Baker that he had to plead guilty, "because the state has a video." When Baker learned that there was a video of the beating he suffered at the hands of the Hollywood Police, he was elated. That is, until he saw the video, which will be played by clicking the following link:

Baker's stepfather, John McNamara, is a paralegal and was the paralegal for Victor Tobin, Esq., who has since been elected to a judgeship in Broward County, and has become the Chief Judge. McNamara went with Baker to his attorney's office after McNamara posted bond for Baker. Baker's counsel, Madeleine Torres, explained that the state had a video; Baker was elated, and McNamara wanted to see the video. Upon viewing the video, Baker advised counsel that the video was a fraud, and McNamara requested a copy of the video. Approximately one month later, Torres provided McNamara with a CD-ROM copy of the charging-package/Brady video, above. Meanwhile, McNamara sought to secure a copy of the original video from the Hollywood Police Department and was thwarted at every turn. Finally, McNamara threatened to litigate if the City failed and refused to provide the public record, immediately. The City demanded a deposit of $100.00 to start the process of copying all the videos and documents associated with this case. There were dash-cam videos, videos from the sally-port gate where Baker was taken out of the police car; videos showing an elevator-view where Baker was transported to the detention area; and videos within the detention area. The demand for deposit letter
Notice how confused the City of Hollywood's Legal Adviser to the Police Department is in this letter. McNamara responded to the outrageous comments of Joel Cantor and the non-compliance with the request for public records. http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0AYFdvBG-Nf44ZGNqM2ptMjNfNTBja205NGNnMw&hl=en

Ultimately, the police department alleged that there were only two VHS videos of the detention area, and that although there should have been other videos, no other videos were available. http://docs.google.com/fileview?id=0B4FdvBG-Nf44ZGQxYjc1NjEtNzViMC00MTQyLTk1NWQtZWQzNmYwMzQxZWY1&hl=en
McNamara took the videos to a video expert, Chuck Schultz, who is a NBC Television Producer, and has produced such shows as "The Regis show," and others. Mr. Schultz has been declared a video expert in the federal courts and has testified as an expert in several federal trials. Mr. Schultz concluded that the charging-package video, above, was totally bastardized, and the video that was secured from the Hollywood Police Department was also false and altered.
The following comparison video shows just one of the fabrications in the charging-package video: http://www.flickr.com/photos/terrorinblue/3946498271/
